Living with dementia: 'My brain is misbehaving'

Anne was diagnosed with dementia at a young age.

She says society needs to be educated to understand that people can adapt and lead as full a life a possible: "People say to me: 'You look absolutely fine' and I think 'I am absolutely fine'.

"It's just one of those things, but as I say, it's just my brain is misbehaving."

Speaking to BBC Scotland's Gillian Sharpe, Anne talks about the shock of receiving the diagnosis but says there is hope: "You get lots of little strategies to help you cope... We have time to plan and not everyone gets that and enjoy life."

Listen to more of Anne's story on BBC Good Morning Scotland on Saturday 25 October, or catch up on the BBC iPlayer.
