War medal reunited with hero's family after 30 years
A World War One medal, awarded to a young man from Cumbernauld, has been handed over to his family after it was discovered down a well at Inverness Castle 30 years ago.
Former police officer Pete Carson who discovered the medal down the well has finally traced relatives of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders soldier to Devon.
The story of how Private William Hogg's medal ended up down a well remains a mystery.
BBC Scotland's Jackie O'Brien reports.
