Inside the UK's biggest salt mine
The Scottish government has been urging us all to make sure we are prepared for the arrival of snow and ice on Scotland's roads.
Councils have been stockpiling rock salt to help ensure the traffic keeps moving if the weather does take a turn for the worse.
Where does that salt come from and is there enough of it?
BBC Scotland's transport correspondent David Miller has travelled to Winsford Rock Salt Mine in Cheshire to find out.
