MSP's plan to ban smoking in cars carrying children

An attempt to ban smoking in cars carrying children is under way.

The Scottish Liberal Democrat MSP Jim Hume has introduced a bill that he says will protect youngsters from the effects of second-hand smoke.

Critics have claimed it is a needless invasion of privacy.
