Snow brings disruption to Scotland

Snowfall has brought disruption across much of Scotland just as power has been restored to the last of the 140,000 properties that were without electricity following powerful storms last week.

The Met Office has issued a yellow "be aware" warning for snow and ice patches for most of mainland Scotland until Wednesday at 12:00.

Another yellow "be aware" warning for wind across the Central Belt and southern Scotland is in force from Wednesday afternoon until Thursday at 15:00.

BBC Scotland's Jackie O'Brien reports from Inverness.
