Bed-blocking tackled with £100m care funding

The Scottish government has pledged £100m to help reduce the number of people waiting to be discharged from hospital.

Bed-blocking puts extra pressure on A&E departments if beds are not available to admit people to hospital.

The money will be used to help patients, who are well enough to leave hospital, with plans for appropriate follow-up care.

BBC Scotland's Lisa Summers reports.
