Scottish Labour conference: Miliband says Labour has 'a big fight' on its hands

Labour leader Ed Miliband has called on the electorate in Scotland to vote for Labour to "give David Cameron his marching orders".

Speaking at the Scottish Labour Party conference, Mr Miliband said: "We are in this fight, not for ourselves, we are in this fight for working people across Scotland.

"The people of Scotland know they deserve better than this Tory government."

Scottish Labour leader Jim Murphy had earlier ruled out a Labour-Conservative coalition following the general election after former Tory chairman, Lord Baker of Dorking, suggested that the parties do so to prevent the SNP having a deciding say in who rules the country.
