David Cameron 'happy to look at' new power proposals

The first minister and prime minister have met for the first time since last week's general election to discuss powers for Scotland.

Speaking after the meeting at Bute House, Mr Cameron told BBC Scotland's political editor Brian Taylor that he wanted to implement the powers, as already agreed, by the Smith Commission but does not believe that the general election result in Scotland will lead to a second referendum.

Nicola Sturgeon had said the meeting was constructive and business-like with the prime minister agreeing to look at the Scottish government's proposals for further powers for Scotland, beyond those laid out by the Smith Commission.
