Glasgow researchers hope to breed lice-repellent salmon

Researchers at Glasgow University have developed a new way to protect farmed salmon from sea lice.

They say salmon can be selectively bred to resist the parasites.

Writing in the Royal Society journal "Interface", they say the salmon respond quickly to selection producing fish that can control infection naturally.
