Live coverage of a special election court hearing into the election of former Scottish Secretary Alistair Carmichael as MP for Orkney and Shetland in May's general election.
Four constituents have raised the court action against him under the Representation of the People Act 1983, financing it through a crowd-funding appeal.
They say Mr Carmichael misled voters over a memo which was leaked before May's election, claiming that Nicola Sturgeon wanted David Cameron to remain prime minister.
Both the ambassador and the first minister denied the accuracy of the civil service memo.
