Adventurer to complete Ernest Shackleton's polar mission

A polar adventurer from Aberdeen is preparing to set off on an epic quest to finish Sir Ernest Shackleton's failed Endurance mission.

The legendary explorer set out to cross the Antarctic on foot 100 years ago but was forced to give up after his ship, the Endurance, became trapped in ice.

Former Royal Marine commando Charlie Paton is determined to finish it in his honour.

BBC Scotland's Fiona Stalker has been to meet him.
