Sturgeon and Cameron mistletoe joke delights MSPs

The political banter provoked laughter across the political divide during the last first minister's questions of the year.

Nicola Sturgeon referred to her meeting with the prime minister saying she did not have a cold before she met David Cameron, in Downing Street, but had it when she came out.

Ruth Davidson, leader of the Scottish Conservatives, quipped: "Another thing that's Westminster's fault.

"I'll tell Dave to put the mistletoe away, the next time you come".
