Council tax rise for Scotland's most expensive homes

Nicola Sturgeon plans to increase council tax for those live in the most expensive houses.

Properties in council tax bands E to H would be asked to pay more, should the SNP win the Holyrood election in May.

The first minister announced the proposals during a visit to Lasswade High School in Midlothian, saying that the additional income could raise £100m each year to invest in education.

The proposed changes also include extra help for 54,000 people on low incomes, as BBC Scotland's political correspondent Glenn Campbell reports.
