Dunblane mother: 'It matters that she didn't die alone'

On 13 March 1996, 16 children and their teacher were murdered by gunman Thomas Hamilton at Dunblane Primary School.

It remains one of the UK's worst mass shootings and led to the introduction of some of the strictest firearms legislation in the world.

Twenty years on and there are no official plans to mark the anniversary but parents of some of those who died have been reflecting on the impact it had on their lives.

Isabel Wilson, who lost her five-year-old daughter Mhairi, has been speaking to Jackie Bird about what happened on that day and how she has coped since: "It is a parent's worst nightmare, that your child will be frightened and wanting you with them and you don't appear.

"It matters to me that someone was with her, that she didn't die alone".
