Free bus pass for older and disabled people turns 10
The Scotland-wide free bus pass entitlement scheme for older and disabled passengers is 10 years old.
The national entitlement card entitles these passengers to travel free on local, registered or scheduled long distance services.
The free bus entitlement scheme was introduced in 2006 and the bus companies agree it has been a wide success.
Age Scotland believes the scheme is helping to keep people fitter for longer.
