Andy Murray’s grandfather missed Wimbledon win to look after dog
Andy Murray’s grandfather Roy Erskine says he stayed at home in Dunblane, rather than watch his grandson in Wimbledon, to look after the family dog.
Murray won his second Wimbledon title after beating Milos Raonic in straight sets with much of his family in Centre Court.
"Everybody else was at Wimbledon, but I had to look after the dog", he said.
Mr Erskine said he watched his grandson with pride: “He played so well, his tennis was remarkable”.
