Parents 'struggle' with work-life balance

The overwhelming majority of working parents in Scotland are struggling to find the right balance between home and work life, according to a new poll.

A survey by Family Friendly Working Scotland , externalfound that 12% of working parents feel their work life balance is "just right".

The majority of parents, 44%, feel that work gets in the way of attending school or nursery events and 34% say it interferes with their ability to help their children with homework.

Two parents who work part-time have told BBC Scotland how a three-day-working week works for them.
