To celebrate Andy Murray ending 2016 as world number one, BBC Scotland has delved into the archives.

Here's the "bright star" of the future in 2001 when he was just 14 years old and aiming for Wimbledon success.

Mum Judy was also on hand back then and said she believed "anything is possible" when it came to Scotland producing a tennis star.
