Nicola Sturgeon: 'Justifiable for UK to remain in single market'
Nicola Sturgeon has clarified the Scottish government's position on the country's relationship with the EU and the rest of the UK following Brexit.
Speaking at Bute House, she said it is "democratically justifiable" for all of the UK to stay in the single market, although she acknowledged the mandate in England and Wales to withdraw from the EU.
The first minister pledged to find a workable solution for the whole UK but reaffirmed her belief that the option of Scottish independence must remain on the table.
