St Kilda islanders' diet secrets revealed

The oldest known census of Scottish island St Kilda has been discovered. It gives a rare glimpse into daily life in the 18th century on the remote island, including people's diet.

Dr Alison Rosie is the Registrar of the National Register of Archives for Scotland. She explains to the Today programme that the islanders ate a "huge number of eggs and sea birds".
