Murdo Fraser's 'lentil-munching sandal-wearing' jibe at Greens

Scottish Conservative MSP Murdo Fraser has been reprimanded in the Scottish Parliament after referring to the Scottish Greens as "lentil-munching sandal-wearing watermelons".

Mr Fraser had been lamenting the deal struck by Finance Secretary Derek Mackay to get his budget through the stage one debate in Holyrood.

The deal centred on changes to the threshold for the 40p rate of tax and an additional £160m for local authorities.
