Snow blankets Scotland as temperatures plunge

Scotland has been hit by widespread heavy snowfalls across large parts of the country.

The bad weather has seen travel disruption, power cuts and several road accidents.

A Met Office amber weather warning is in place until 21:00 on Tuesday.
