Ukrainian refugee’s journey from Poland to Scotland

English teacher Natalia Mykhauliuchenko is originally from Donetsk but war forced her to flee to Kyiv in 2014.

She stayed there throughout the conflict with Russia for the past nine months, but as her situation worsened she decided to leave Ukraine.

A Scottish network of volunteers helped organise the journey for Natalia and the other refugees.

BBC Scotland’s The Nine followed their journey.
