Weather forecast for Scotland

Spells of very heavy rain will continue going into the early afternoon, but rain will gradually ease and become lighter into the evening.

The Met Office have issued an amber severe weather warning in many parts of western Scotland until 0300 on Sunday.

Railway lines and roads have been affected in large parts of the country.
