PM says financial settlement for Scotland needs to be fair to rest of UK

Prime Minister David Cameron has told the House of Commons that talks to establish the financial rules around new powers to Scotland needed to be fair to the rest of the UK.

He was speaking after being asked a question by SNP MP Angus Robertson on the ongoing fiscal framework negotiations.

Mr Cameron said: "There's an ongoing negotiation to reach a fair settlement, and I would say to the Scottish first minister and the Scottish finance minister they have to recognise there has to be fairness across the rest of the UK too

"With goodwill, I can tell you that no one is keener on agreement than me."
