Scotland 'will take a hit' from Brexit, says Scottish government adviser

The chairman of the Scottish government's EU advisory group, Prof Anton Muscatelli, believes Scotland and the wider UK would take a hit as a result of Brexit.

Speaking to BBC Scotland's business and economy editor Douglas Fraser, the academic insisted that is a "cliff-edge Brexit" were to happen then that would be "catastrophic" for the economy.

But whatever the nature of the Brexit deal, he believed there would be consequences for the economy.
