Sturgeon resigns: 'I feel for Nicola, I've been there' - Salmond

The former SNP leader and First Minister for Scotland, Alex Salmond, has said he was surprised to hear of Nicola Sturgeon's resignation.

Mr Salmond now heads up Alba, a rival pro-Independence party, after splitting from the SNP following a row with Ms Sturgeon.
