Michael Matheson questioned over iPad data bill

Michael Matheson was interviewed by BBC Scotland on Monday, 13 November, about the row over his iPad data roaming bill.

Asked if anyone else had used his equipment and contributed to running up the £11,000 bill, the health secretary replied "no".

He has since admitted that he learned on Thursday, 9 November, that his sons had used data from the iPad to watch football matches.

Opposition politicians say this is evidence of Mr Matheson making misleading comments about the affair.

He has referred himself to the Holyrood authorities for investigation, and offered an "unreserved apology" to MSPs.
