Houthis will not be deterred by US-UK air strikes in Yemen - Flynn

SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn has warned US-UK air strikes in Yemen must not result in a "much wider crisis" in the region.

Speaking to BBC Scotland's The Sunday Show, Mr Flynn said he was "looking for answers" on the UK government's long-term aspirations in Yemen, following the launch of joint military action on Friday.

"What comes next, and how does this feed into the wider regional picture, which we know is extremely volatile?" the Aberdeen South MP asked.

Mr Flynn added that he thought the UK government's decision to launch air strikes without consulting MPs was "farcical".
