Injured judo star Stephanie Inglis flown to Edinburgh

Injured judo star Stephanie Inglis has been flown back to Scotland after being injured in a motorcycle accident in Vietnam.

The Commonwealth Games silver medallist, who working as a teacher for disadvantaged children, suffered serious head injuries when her skirt became tangled in the wheel.

Doctors in Vietnam initially gave her a 1% chance of survival but she was recently woken from an induced coma.

A crowdfunding campaign has raised more than £300,000 to bring her home after her travel insurance was deemed invalid because of the length of her stay abroad.
