Miners trapped: Welsh Secretary promises inquiry
Rescuers have found the body of one of the miners trapped underground at a colliery near Swansea.
He has not been named but police say the families of all four men at Gleision Colliery have been informed.
The three remaining miners are believed to be beyond a flooded section of the mine. They were cut off when water burst through a retaining wall yesterday morning.
Welsh Secretary Cheryl Gillan said she was extremely saddened: "My heartfelt condolences go out to the families at this distressing time."
She also confirmed the British Government would carry out a "full investigation" but her priority was to make sure the rescuers had everything they needed.
