Radio Wales urged to boost its appeal by BBC Trust

BBC Radio Wales is being asked to boost its appeal to listeners throughout the nation following a BBC Trust report.

A review of BBC services in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland praised the station as distinctive and valued by its listeners.

Elan Cross Stephens, the BBC Trustee for Wales, says there's a perception among some people that it's aimed mainly at south Wales.

But she told Oliver Hides that Radio Wales was hampered by patchy coverage on FM and digital radio.
