Lynette White: Prostitute was 'a tragic figure'

Britain's largest-ever criminal trial of former police officers has collapsed in Swansea after a judge ruled they could not be guaranteed a fair hearing.

The eight men were accused of perverting the course of justice, following their investigation into the murder of Lynette White in Cardiff in 1988. It led to three men being wrongly jailed - before her actual killer was finally jailed in 2003.

Tim Rogers was a reporter with BBC Wales when the story of Lynette's murder broke and he covered her murder case back in 1988.

He had met her months previously as part of an investigation into child prostitution in Cardiff.

The journalist tells BBC Radio Wales presenter Bethan Rhys Roberts how Lynette was "a very tragic figure".
