Dave Quarrell nears end of all Wales Coast Path walk

The 870 mile Wales Coastal path opened to the the public in May.

One of the first people to step on the path on the day was Dave Quarrell who decided to walk along it in memory of his father.

Mr Quarrell, 26, from Caerphilly, is due to finish his three month walk around the Welsh coastline later in Cardiff.

He started on the path which covers 870 miles (1400km) to raise funds for Cancer Research Wales, in memory of his father.

Mr Quarrell told BBC Radio Wales' Bethan Rhys Roberts and Oliver Hides that Pembrokeshire was one of the best sections of the route and that he was walking through Aberystwyth when the area was hit by flooding.
