Welsh Music Prize shortlist announced

The shortlist has been revealed for the second Welsh Music Prize, won last year by Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys.

The award, which celebrates the finest Welsh music, was created in 2011 by Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens and festival promoter John Rostron.

Artists including Kids in Glass Houses, Cate Le Bon and Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog are among this years nominations.

Juror David Owens told BBC Radio Wales presenter Peter Johnson that this year's list was "gloriously diverse".
