Jamie Shadrake's mother to launch poppy appeal
The poppy appeal in Wales is being launched later by the mother of a soldier from Llanharan who was killed in Afghanistan two months ago.
Guardsman Jamie Shadrake, who was in the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards, was killed just three days after his 20th birthday.
His mother Cathryn Griffiths, who lives in Wrexham, said the annual British Legion campaign aims to raise £42m this year.
She told reporter Sarah Easedale why she supports the poppy appeal.
