Wales school banding system meaningless, say critics

Parents and teachers have been assessing the impact of this year's school banding results, which critics have said are confusing the picture of performance across Wales.

Some schools have moved from Band 4 to 1, while others have moved down.

But Education Minister Leighton Andrews has defended the principle.

Claire Armitstead, head teacher of Rhyl High School, - which has moved from Band 4 to 2 - and Rebecca Williams, policy officer for UCAC education union, spoke to Oliver Hides on Good Morning Wales.
