'World's fastest man' inspires Nos Galan races in Cynon Valley

BBC Radio Wales has been looking at Welsh traditions throughout the festive period.

The Nos Galan races have been taking place in south Wales in the Cynon Valley every New Years Eve for more than 50 years.

Their inspiration goes back to the legend surrounding an 18th Century runner who was said to be the fastest man in the world, as Stephen Fairclough reports.
