Truancy: Ken Reid attacks 'slow progress' on tackling problem
One of the UK's leading experts on truancy has criticised the Welsh government for what he calls "painfully slow" progress getting to grips with the issue.
Professor Ken Reid says many of the recommendations of a major report he wrote for the government five years ago have not been implemented.
