Wales Coast Path's £16m boost to Welsh economy

The Wales Coast path attracted almost three million visits and provided the Welsh economy with a £16m boost between September 2011 and August 2012, according to research.

Opened in May last year, the 870-mile (1,400km) long path stretches from Queensferry to Chepstow.

The aim was to improve coastal access, and the hope was to attract new visitors and bring a boost to the Welsh economy.

Pembrokeshire reporter Sarah Moore has been on the path on the coast of north Pembrokeshire, in the village of St Dogmaels.
