Welsh National Opera singers raise Wrexham Maelor patients' spirits

Opera is probably still seen by many people as a very exclusive art form.

But the Welsh National Opera is now performing regularly at the most unlikely of venues - a hospital.

Every few weeks singers and musicians from the company appear at the Wrexham Maelor as part of a unique scheme aimed at raising patients' spirits by encouraging them to enjoy a sing-along.

Rob Thomas went along when the curtain went up on this week's performance.
