Horsemeat: MP Huw Irranca-Davies urges Europe-wide rules

A Welsh Labour MP has called for tough Europe-wide rules on food production.

Huw Irranca-Davies, the shadow minister for food and farming, said food products needed to be traceable across countries to ensure consumers had confidence in what they were buying.

He told Oliver Hides on Good Morning Wales that the situation was made worse by complex long supply chains involving up to eight processes.
