IPCC probes alleged failings in handling crimes against women

The Independent Police Complaints Commission is investigating alleged serious failings in the way crimes against women, such as domestic violence and rape have been handled by South Wales Police.

Two years ago, police in Wales held a national conference on domestic violence, aimed at sharing best practice.

But the head of the IPCC in Wales admits some women are still being failed.
