Trinity Mirror: Western Mail's owners report rise in profits
The newspaper group Trinity Mirror, whose Welsh titles include the Western Mail and the Daily Post, has reported an 2.5% increase in operating profits.
But the company also warns that trading will continue to be difficult, and it plans to save an extra £10m this year.
Roy Greenslade, a media commentator and a former editor of the Daily Mirror, told Mark Hutchings on BBC Radio Wales that the quality of the group's Welsh papers had been hit by cost-cutting and job losses.
