Garden birds declining in Wales warn RSPB

Starlings are among the garden birds in decline in Wales, according to results from the RSPB's Big Garden Survey.

They have become a "red-listed" species meaning they are in need of protection in Wales.

Starlings had hit an all time low in 2012 - and that position worsened in 2013, with numbers dropping by 15%.

Sean Christian, head of conservation for the RSPB Cymru, spoke to Gareth Lewis on BBC Radio Wales.
