Artist Gwilym Prichard's exhibition opens in Cardiff

The artist Gwilym Prichard, 82, has been painting the landscape of Wales since the 1950s, and a large exhibition of his work has opened in Cardiff this week.

Prichard was born in Llanystumdwy, near Criccieth. He trained at Birmingham College of Art and taught in Anglesey until 1972 after which he painted full time.

He paints from a studio in Tenby, Pembrokeshire, where arts correspondent Huw Thomas went to meet him.
