Dolphin pod surprise for RNLI crew

A lifeboat crew from Aberystwyth attracted an unusual group of onlookers during a rough weather training session this week.

The RNLI volunteers were out in gale force winds when they were joined by a pod of dolphins.

An RNLI spokesperson said it was a "welcome disruption to a training exercise with the dolphins keen to play alongside the station's Atlantic lifeboat".

"The crew at Aberystwyth were not expecting such a spectacular sight during a routine exercise," the spokesperson added.
