Swansea measles epidemic rises to 886 cases

The British Medical Association is warning people against having single measles jabs at private clinics saying they are not as effective as the MMR.

About 10,000 non-routine Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccinations have been given at clinics around Wales in the last week alone.

But the number of cases of measles is continuing to rise. A further 78 cases have been reported since last Thursday.

The total number of cases now stands at 886.
