Wales NHS: A&E services should be 'ring fenced', say Conservatives
There are calls for a major shake up of accident and emergency services in south Wales to be abandoned due to a crisis in demand.
Health boards are expected to confirm later this month that seven current specialist A and E departments will be cut to four or five, although officials say no units will close.
Darren Millar, Conservative AM for Clwyd West and shadow health minister, said he recognised that the NHS needed modernising but life-saving treatment provided by A&E departments should be "ring fenced".
He spoke to Felicity Evans on BBC Radio Wales.
