South Wales NHS shake-up concerns aired at meeting

Controversial plans for big changes to the way that some specialist hospital services are delivered across south Wales are under the spotlight as the first of 40 public meetings to discuss the plans are being held.

Similar plans in north and west Wales led in some areas to hundreds turning out to protest.

Now managers are inviting the public to have their say about the plans in south Wales, which could see the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant stop treating the most serious A&E cases.

BBC Wales' Health Correspondent Owain Clarke reports from Pontypridd, where one of the meetings was being held.
